How Can We Help You?

Private Optical Network
AIS Private Optical Backbone

Every AIS data center is designed to be fully autonomous and able to operate independently, but in the event of an external failure the AIS network has built-in recovery mechanisms. One of the primary redundancy tools is AIS’s private optical network: redundant OC-192 (10Gbps) links that connect the primary data centers. If an external services provider fails, traffic is re-routed to another data center.

The private network is also used to provide our clients with their own dedicated layer 2 (switch-level) connectivity – between locations in our data centers – or for their own long-haul transport service. Bandwidth speeds range from 10Mbps to 1Gbps and are provisioned on protected network paths. This type of connection is ideal for disaster recovery and business continuity applications.  Learn more here.
