An Interview with Greg Winter

When did you become a customer of AIS?

We became a customer of AIS in November of 2008 when AIS acquired Complex Drive.  We had been in the same rack in the same facility going way back to 2001, and the transition from Complex Drive to AIS was completely seamless and smooth.

What was the business challenge?

As a small specialized hosting company, we can not afford down time. The improvements AIS made to the facility infrastructure virtually eliminated downtime. A huge improvement from our experiences with other data centers. When one of our largest clients needed to ramp up capacity quickly in order to handle traffic for a major advertising campaign AIS help make it happen by providing the required resources.
 
How did AIS help?

AIS made it easy to expand our capacity.  The NOC staff always greeted us with a smile and provided assistance when needed, whether it be providing extra screws for our rack, helping carry our equipment, or running an additional power drop to handle our expanding array of servers.

What can you say about your AIS experience?

AIS gave us the ability to provide the services required by our clients, and made it easy to do so in a timely manner. They separate themselves from other data center operators by taking the initiative to make improvements and upgrades before there are actually problems. The staff  flexibility and willingness to work with us has been a refreshing experience.
