American Internet Services (AIS) is a leading provider of enterprise-class data center and connectivity services, including managed and network services, colocation, and disaster recovery solutions, with premium facilities in Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix.
We have put together a stellar portfolio of leading edge technologies backed by an experienced management and Professional Services team. Our detail-oriented, customer-centric Service Delivery and Client Services team handles around-the-clock, operational support. We are focused on providing tailored solutions to our clients at prices that fit their budget.
Hundreds of businesses, from Life Sciences, Technology, Financial Services and Government, to Managed Services providers, retail/distribution and wireless/telecommunications have made AIS their strategic IT data center services partner of choice.
All of our data centers are carrier-neutral facilities that are designed as technology fortresses that are audited annually (SAS 70 Type II**).
** We will be shifting to SSAE 16 Type II (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements #16, Type II) audit. This audit is generally considered as the replacement of the retiring SAS 70, which AIS received in September 2010.
AIS employs a number of High-Availability (HA) and Business Continuity technologies and have installed enterprise-level, load-balancing infrastructures in all of our primary data centers. In addition, sophisticated global network load-balancing hardware has been deployed in San Diego and Phoenix to provide geographical redundancy and business continuity services.
To maximize performance and security, AIS manages its own private optical network between data centers, allowing real-time data replication and service delivery from multiple points on the Internet. Our Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) backbone provides low-latency, highly redundant layer 2 service between all of our facilities.
Founded in 1989, AIS has adapted its offerings over the years to best fulfill the evolving IT needs of its clients. The company was created through the combination of several U.S. communication companies including WebCC (1998), ADNC (2001) and Internet Express (2004), as well as the acquisition of the Complex Drive chain of data centers (in 2008).
Privately held, AIS is backed by Seaport Capital, Viridian Investments, and DuPont Capital Management.
